Walk to School Day 2017

2017 Walk to School Day

Wednesday, October 4th

Owyhee Elementary and Safe Routes to School Nampa are partnering together to promote National Walk to School Day.

On Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 we are hoping to have all Owyhee Elementary school students walk to school.

In order to make this as safe and easy as possible, please meet at one of the locations listed below so we can walk to school as a group.
Each location has a time to meet so we will all arrive at the cross walk about the same time. A teacher will be at each location to lead the group.
We are hoping to have everyone meet up at the crosswalk to cross Iowa together.

South Fork Park (on Iowa)….8:15

Entrance to Fall River on the school side of Iowa…8:20

Hunter’s Point Entrance closest to the Chevron on Iowa…8:20

Community helpers from Nampa will also be assisting in our Walk to School Day.

Please take the time to thank our police officers who make this event possible. Each student who walks to school that day will get a little token of appreciation as they pass in front of the building.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at Thanks for joining us in this event and I hope to see you walking on October 4th.
